Here's an interesting situation. I hope the Managers have a fix for this
one.
Our file servers serve PCs running NFS (Beam & Whiteside, now owned by
Hummingbird, I believe). On some servers we have user directories on
UFS and others on ADVFS. Some servers are running 3.2D and others are at
3.2F.
When the DOS client runs the quota command, one of two things happens
(depending on the type of filesystem exported by the server):
- if the filesystem being exported is UFS, one of two things happens:
- if the PC has mounted the file system from the server *at*
the mount point (where is quota.* files are), the proper
quota is returned
- if the PC has mounted a *directory* below the mount point
(where the quota.* files are), nothing is returned.
- if the filesystem is ADVFS, the proper quota info is returned - NO MATTER
WHAT!
All suggestions are very appreciated.
Thanks.
