stale NFS handle

Hello to all,

I have another problem:

a directory is missing:

root_at_gen /usr/db # ls
./PDB not found
BLAST/ GCG/ PDB1/ PDB2/ PDB3/ PIR/
root_at_gen /usr/db # rmdir PDB
rmdir: PDB: Device busy
root_at_gen /usr/db # rm PDB
rm: PDB: Stale NFS file handle
root_at_gen /usr/db # mkdir PDB
mkdir: cannot create PDB.
PDB: File exists

I really don't know from which machine it was mounted, as there is no
entry in fstab.
How can I remove/reconstruct/reaccess this nonexistent directory??

thanks for any help

harald
