Hello:
Does anyone know of a bug in "make" for DU 4.0? That is,
/usr/opt/ultrix/usr/bin/make not /usr/bin/make. I've copied all my
files from a DU 3.2c machine to a DU 4.0 machine and make seems to
want to rebuild everything every time I run it. The problem only seems
to occur when I'm dealing with a c.a rule (making a library from a "C"
file). When I'm dealing with a c.o rule it works properly.
I've checked the dates of my files, environment variables and everything
else I can think of. I've wasted almost an entire day trying to figure
why this is happening. I figure I better make sure there isn't a bug in
make before I drive myself crazy for nothing. I searched the lists
archives with no luck. So if anyone knows of a bug I'd appreciate the
info.
Thanks,
Mike
P.S. I suppose there could also be a problem with "ar" not setting the
dates in the library properly. Anyone know of any bugs there?
