where to find Sendmail v8 and how to install it

I am trying to manage virtual Email domains on my 3.2c DU machine
I read I need Sendmail v8 in order to do this

so my questions are :

Do i really need it ?
Are there solution that work with my sendmail version ( Sendmail 5.65v3.2) ?
and if I do need it where can i find it ?
and how to install it without loosing the settings I already have for my
sendmail Sendmail 5.65v3.2 ?
