REPLIES:

There is an archived summary to this topic in the alpha-osf-managers:

http://www.ornl.gov/its/archives/mailing-lists/alpha-osf-managers/1995/06/msg000
07.html

The summary is entitled: "Where to find enscript" (my initial search didn't
find it). This is a very good summary. It talks mainly about using "enscrit" or
"nenscript" to do the job. Several of the replies mentioned using this also.

I do not know if it can be done, and I;ve never tried to do it at printcap
level, nor would I know how to do it. However I am able to print 2-up or
n-up on any printer CONVERTING the PS file into another (the original one
should be Adobe DSC conformant).

I use the "psutils" by Angus Mc Duggan

in /pub/ajcd/psutils.tar.Z

use lpspr -K2 file |lpr -P queue_name

If this command does not exist, load the lps5xx package from the
"Software Product Library" CD-ROM:

# cd /cdrom
# setld -l lps510/kit
