I am having some problems installing the SCSI CAM Layered Products for DEC
OSF/1. As I have installed Digital UNIX 4.0 on my DEC 3000/600 (I don't
have the machine in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that's the model
number), I need to reinstall some of the layered products that had been
installed. The latest version of the Software Product Library that has made
it to me here in Auckland, New Zealand, is the April 1996 one. The SCSI CAM
Layered Products in this library would seem to not support DU4.0. The one
on the July 1996 library however does support DU4.0. As this product is
required for my backup scripts I am faced with the following prospects:
1- down grading to DU3.2 (my least favourite option).
2- rewriting my scripts and changing tapes manually (better but still no fun).
3- finding SCSI CAM Layered Components for Digital UNIX, Version 3.1A from
some other source (best option from my point of view).
If anyone has any help or advice then please contact me.
