---------- My original question ----------
Hi all,
This is getting to be a favorite subject of mine. Whenever I try to print to
one of the two printers on my network, this is what happens ... anyone got any
ideas on what I'm missing?

The printer is on, on the network and I can ping it, telnet to it, etc. I can
print to my other printer no problem. I'm really stumped here, any help is most
appreciated. I will summarize.
---------- End original question ----------
You'll never believe this one. The more I looked into the more I discovered
this was a hardware not a printcap issue. The ethernet cable, although plugged
into the printer, must have been somewhat loose. In enough for me to ping it
but not in enough to send data. I unplugged the ethernet cable and plugged it
back in again and *voila* I can print fine to that printer no matter which
printcap file I'm using.
Thanks for all your help.
