restore OS from dump tapes

This may be a easy question. I've inherited a dump tape which I believe has a
DEC UNIX 2.x on it. I need to restore it back on a DEC 3000/300X system. I'm a
kind of new to the DEC UNIX. I would like to know what the proper procedure is.
I also have a DEC UNIX 3.2 CD-ROM. I think I can boot up the system with the CD
and then run restore. Based on my experience with Sun and SGI, I also need to
create the so-called "bootblock" for the bootable partition. Do I need to do
the same thing for DEC UNIX? If so, what is the command and parameters. In
addition, the DEC 3000/300X was originally used for OpenVMX. Therefore, I think
I need to change some of the boot parameters (such as boot disk location, boot
file name and boot flags, etc) in the boot command level. I'd appreciate anyone
can provide me with detail steps or instructions. Thanks a lot.
