HP Surestore 2600fx

Hi,


I have attempted without success to use a HP Surestore 2600fx Optical drive
on a dec3000 running Digital Unix 3.2C.

The FAQ suggests to try these commands:

newfs /dev/rrz#x /dev/rrz#x

disklabel -rw /dev/rrzXc unknown

I have successfully used the newfs command on other drives, and it has
so far worked perfectly.

However, the disklabel command returns an error:

Unknow device type "Unknown"

Has anybody had any success using these drives ?? Can the problem perhaps
be due to the fact that the sector size is 1024 ??
