Question about dxpause and enhanced security

Greetings all,

I've had several instances over the past few weeks where I lock my
work-station with dxpause and come back to find that neither my password,
nor the root password will unlock the screen. The machine is running OSF
3.2G, with enhanced security. I'm about 99% certain I'm using the correct
password (especially since this has happened on numerous occasions), and I
can secure-shell into the machine from another machine (using either my
own account or root) and, as root, kill dxpause. Has anyone seen this, and
if so is it a bug or a feature?

Thanks, and I'll summarize.

Jason
