[SUMMARY] Re: Net-boot via FDDI card

Sorry for the slow summary; it's taken me a while to get a chance to
test the response I got. My question was how to net-boot a DEC
3000/300 over a FDDI card (fta0), rather than the onboard ethernet
(ln0). I got three responses, one suggesting
>>> boot -file "1/ez0"
where 1 was the TurboChannel slot number of the DEFTA (? - FDDI card?),
one stating no, you can't boot from a Turbochannel device "in the Jensen
series ROM's", and one suggesting that I check out fddi_config.

I tried several variants on boot 1/ez0, and was unable to get it to
work. I therefore suspect, alas, that the second response was correct.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong, though. :-)

Many thanks to Matt Thomas <thomas_at_lkg.dec.com>, Guy Loucks
<Loucks.Guy.GR_at_bhp.com.au>, and Roger Joss <giarjo_at_gia.ch>.

Sincerely,
