G'day Sysadminers,

I am having problems printing to a HP printer hung off a Windows NT server.
All my other printers are "remote" with either Axis Ethernet Printer server box
of jet direct cards. These quite happily accept HP PCL concatenated to the
front of the file to change font/pitch and orientation.

When I perform the same operation to the said NT controlled printer, the
PCL is ignored and printed as part of the text? Strange !!!! I tried cat'ing the
PCL twice to ensure it wasn't a "first" stream problem, but alas this doesn't
work either.

The printcap entry for the printer is as follows:

#
walis_lj3|lp16|walis_lj3:\
 :lf=/usr/adm/print-errlog/walis_lj3:\
 :lp=:\
 :rm=walis_srv:\
 :rp=walis_lj3:\
 :sh:\
 :sd=/var/print/walis_lj3:
#

Our PC guys assure me there are no options on LPDSVC that can affect this,
HELP.....
