Hi DU Gurus,
Yesterday I upgraded an Alpha to DU v4.0a. So far everything
works ok except networking. I can reach hosts in our domain
but can't reach hosts outside. I ran the ULTRIX-like netsetup
command for setting up the network. I can nslookup hosts but
can't seem to ping them. For example,
# nslookup www.dec.com
Server: dftsrv.gsfc.nasa.gov
Address: 128.183.10.134
Name: www.digital.com
Address: 204.123.2.49
Aliases: www.dec.com
# ping 204.123.2.49
PING 204.123.2.49 (204.123.2.49): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: Host is unreachable
ping: wrote 204.123.2.49 64 chars, ret=-1
ping: sendto: Host is unreachable
ping: wrote 204.123.2.49 64 chars, ret=-1
/etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf haven't changed. I have about
another dozen upgrades planned so I hope this is something
simple that I'm overlooking or DU 4.x-centric that can be
fixed easily.
