Hi Managers,
Seems I left a couple of critical items out.

RAID controller is a KZPSC-BA, and we are using RAID 5

I may not have been clear on my adding disks question: If I
put in another rz29, how bad is it to add the space at the file-
system level. I assume that if I use UFS I'd have to back up and
newfs. Has anyone done this (added a disk to RAID 5), and for
what FS? With what ramifications to the users?

Sysadmins don't go to hell; we're already doing our time in purgatory.
