RESTORE ROOT DRIVE!

     Hello!
     
     We have a DEC ALPHA 2100A system. The root drive is giving errors. We
     are planning to restore root drive on the system. Does someone has
     some instructions on how to restore the root drive?
     
     Currently, when we do a 0 level dump on the / and /usr filesystem, it
     shows 4 bad blocks. Is that dump a good backup?
     
     Any help will be appreciated!!
