Hi,
we have ordered a couple of new HP laser printers(5M).
The environment is mac,pc,sgi, and the main dec alphaserver 2100.
The new printers will be stand alone network connected printers
that need to be appletalk, netware, and lpd aware.

We wish to limit lpd access to the new printers via hostname.
A UNIX lpd has a /etc/hosts.lpd authentication file, does
the jetdirect lpd have anything similar?

TIA
boc
