Hi,
Does anyone knows what "spec_select: bad vnode" message on the dxconsole
means ?. It is appearing randomly and we are worried about an AdvFS
problem.
Thanks in advance

The only response came from alan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com, who explained me
this :
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
A vnode is the generic kernel data structure for all
low level file like things. It is used to generalize
the interface to file operations for the different
file system types. The "spec" file system is the
special device interface for character and block
interfaces. "select" is the interface for the select
system call.
You could have a corrupted special device file.

However, i've not found anything wrong, and the message stopped
appearing 2 weeks ago, mysteriously.
I'll let you know of any news
Many thanks, Alan
