NIS-Server-Problems: yppasswd doesn't work anymore, Addon

Some more information

The master server has this entry in syslog.dated:

root_at_bogart /var/adm/syslog.dated/21-Oct-19:19 # more auth.log
Oct 21 19:21:42 bogart yppasswdd[411]: password file busy - try again.

I rebooted the master but the problem remains (the error message too).

any ideas?
