We've experienced bizarre problems with netscape 3.0 and dec unix 4.0.
Java refuses to work on any of our 4.0 boxen. I've grabbed a new netscape
from their ftp site and reinstalled the library / binary, with the
same result. No error messages in the java console.. it "sees"
the applet, but the applet never runs..
no error messages from a shell in which netscape starts.. and java/javascript
are enabled. this worked perfectly in du 3.2C and so forth.
anyone else run into this or know anything about it ? it's driving
one of our users's projects to a standstill :-(.
i was talking to someone from dec who replied to an earlier post about
something else i'd asked about, but lost his mail.. :-(
