Hello managers,
I am trying to install the "ping patch". It worked just fine on one
machine, on another machine I cannot rebuild the kernal. This is the error I
get from doing doconfig:

I tried to call DIGITAL about this but their software guys insisted on an access
number. I don't have one because I don't have a service contract with them. I
figured they would be happy to help me with a serious security issue on their
product. BTW, they didn't know about the bug! Now I understand when someone
tells me, "Digital is a great engineering company but their customer support is
terrible." This quote given to me by a computer architecture professor of mine
which uses this as the reason for Digital's financial problems. Yes, this is a
complaint!

Thanks in advance for the help. Marco.
