Dear Managers,
I'm trying to upgrade the memory in a DEC ALPHA 3000 AXP Model 300L.
The manual indicates that it will accept 72 pin simms in the 8 meg or 32 meg
sizes. The DEC web page seems to indicate that the 300 takes parity memory
where as the 400 and above take ECC memory. Anyone out there who can
verify that the 300 takes true parity SIMMS? I'd rather not take our server
down to install the wrong memory.
Thanks in Advance,
John DeRung
P.S. I'll post my result.
