Hi all,
I'm new on this list so please don't fire at me if I ask an already
answered question, I'm still at reading the tons of archive mail from this
list. I'm trying to upgrade to Digital Unix v4.0 and have to apply a
firmware "patch" first. The DGUX System CDROM are properly read by the CDROM
drive, but there is a problem with the firmware CDROM which is not readable.
When I execute a mount -o ro /dev/rz4c /cdrom (which works on most CDROMs
including the v4.0 ones) it failes on the firmware CDROM with a "/dev/rz4c
on /cdrom: No valid filesystem exists on this partition" message.
Can someone help ? BTW, I'm trying to figure out if I need to update using
the v3.6 firmware before installing DGUX v4... how can I determine the
current firmware level of my AlphaStation 200 ?
Thanks
BuG
