Hi alpha-osf-managers,
I kindly thank Mr. Alan B. Scott, star_at_staru1.livjm.ac.uk,
for he took care of helping me to solve the problem.
The problem was that I made 'Hidden' the mode in which VXT2000
Terminal Manager window runs, and left the setting of 'F3 key'
as 'Disabled' (F3 toggles the appearance of the window). The supplied
documentation contains warnings of such action, but nothing on
what to do if it happens.
The original advise is the following:
> To clear the terminals Non Volatile memory, reboot and during this
> phase press 'Ctrl c' until the >>> prompt appears.
> At the >>> prompt type TEST/UTIL 1
> Remember, all previous setting will be lost !
> Now set up terminal with 'Customize - Terminal Manager - F3 key
> enabled'.
Of course, it was not a problem for me to setup previous settings
to the terminal.
