Possible problem with threads on Digital Unix 4.0a

About 1 1/2 weeks ago we upgraded our Alphaserver 2100 4/275 system containing
4 cpus from Digital Unix 3.2g to 4.0a. Since that time we have experienced
ongoing problems with a number of programs that were working correctly under
3.2g. The thing that is common among all of these programs is that they are
all threaded. When they fail, they seem to get in an infinite loop, each
process using up to 200% of the cpu time. We've seen this problem with
programs that access our Informix database server, and with our PMDF mail
system (which makes heavy use of threads in its service dispatcher and job
controller).

Is anyone else seeing similar problems?
