Hi All,
        I give in.
I cant for the life of me work out how to set the DEFAULT keymaps
on my remote X-term.I have read everything
till I am Xeyed.I have a default_keymap file linked to my
         keymap /usr/lib/X11/keymaps/us_pcxalka.keymap

xkbdfltmap on my system console gives :
/usr/bin/X11/xkbcomp -R/usr/lib/X11/xkb -m pcxal keymap/digital_us -o :0.0

xkbdfltmap on my remote X-term gives me:
/usr/lib/X11/keymaps/us_pcxalka.keymap

I would like to have my F11 and F12 keys mapped but they AREN'T
(on the remote X-term).
What I cant work out is , what is the default keymap that is getting
loaded on the X-term. I have checked every keymap on the machine
and every single one maps F11 & F12.

I have checked the archives and know I can use xmodmap manually or in say
a .cshrc etc. but I would still like to know what keymap is being
loaded and from where.

P.S. does any-one know why the HOME & END key dont work even
     if the are mapped ??

Once again , Thanking you,
