========================
Ok, well when planning for this upgrade on my DEC Alpha 3000 I had posted
other questions regarding what and how I should do the upgrade. Fortunately
for me this list is here. ( this list is by far the most valuable resource i have)
Well I was planning the upgrade to DU 4.0 from OSF/1 V.3.0, and I was going
to add another hard disk. The latter is what saved me.
Someone recommended to do a custom install on the new disk keeping the
other filesystems intact on the other two disks in my system.
This is what I did. So now when I had this licensing problem the ldb file was still
intact on the old filesystem.
I just copied the old /usr/var/adm/lmf/ldb file to the new filesystem and
what do you know it worked.
I now have all the licenses that I should have.
Thanks again.
