Hi!
We're running NetWorker V3.2-11/20 on Digital UNIX 3.2C. As a tape
drive, we use the "4mm 8GB" driver on /dev/nrmt0h, which is a TLZ07:
"tz5 at scsi0 bus 0 target 5 lun 0 (DEC_TLZ07 (C)DEC 553A)". file
/dev/nrmt0h shows "/dev/nrmt0h: character special (9/5123) SCSI #0
TLZ07 tape #40 (SCSI ID #5)"
This drive should support 4/8GB (which NSR seems to show too), but we
never get more than 4GB onto the tape. We use 120m tapes, of course.
Here's some data from mminfo -m:
donald.001 121 MB 2% 0 KB 3/28/98 48 8000 MB
donald.002 3494 MB full 0 KB 3/29/98 45 8000 MB
donald.003 3496 MB full 0 KB 4/01/98 43 8000 MB
donald.004 190 MB 2% 0 KB 4/02/98 47 8000 MB
As you can see, the capacity is reported as 8000MB, and the percent
filled is calculated from this. However, the tapes go full when they
reach about 3500MB...
Any idea what's up here?
Regards,
Terje Sten
