Date changed to 1/1/96 after reboot

I am running a DEC unix system with 3.2, when the system was rebooted last
night at 9:45 PM the date changed to 1/1/96. I reboot my system every
night at this time and have not had any problems. Now, when I reboot after
setting the date to 12/31/96 it goes back to 1/1/96. Is there a patch
available for this?
