This turned out to be simple. A month ago I received a shell script from my
CSLG coordinator to update the license files automatically, but it was packed
with a bunch of other files for VAX systems and I ignored it. Logging in as
root and running the script fixed everything. I didn't have to execute an
"lmf reset" or any other command. The script did it all.
