Help, I'm stuck. I'm running uucp over tcp to download news and some mail
from UUnet. Two days ago I suddenly began getting no devices available
messages during my connection attempts. I've removed the lock file from
/var/spool/uucp/.Status (many times) but I still can't connect. UUnet has
looked into this and assures me that the problem is on my end. Is there
some lock that I don't know about? Included below is a level 9 debug of a
connection attemt to UUnet and the portion of the log where the connection
began failing. I haven't made any configuration changes for almost 2 years
on this and UUnet claims that they haven't either.

I've deleted this file many times. What am I missing?
