My printing problems was (printing with hp5m)
1. printing several copies of text file.
2. notify the user that the print job is done.
3. print text file from page number X to Y.
I didn't got any answer from the alpha osf manager forom,
The answer came from Digital support in Israel.
first the printer is a tcp/ip printer not conected to a host , it is
like a station on the network, so at the Release notes of the 4.0A page
2-13 there is a discription of how to configure such printer.
I add the line hplaser5m 9100/tcp to the /etc/services file,
done the rcinet restart, and add the ct=tcp and lp=_at_wizhp5m/hplaser5m
and the printcap look like :

:fs#023:\
:if=/usr/lbin/ps_level2of:\
:lf=/usr/adm/lperr:\
:of=/usr/lbin/ps_level2of:\

Still problem 3 is a mistery , but I will solve it by a littel script.
