Here is how you do it:
First check the CD-ROM SCSI-ID at the system console before booting DU
>>> show dev

If you know you only have one scsi bus you can also type:
scu show edt bus 0

at the command prompt to get the logical device number.

It will be the Write protected device, in most cases. On most systems it is
rz4. You will then boot DU and log in as root. Then you will want to
change to the /dev directory and type:
./MAKEDEV rz4

which will create the device in the /dev directory.
