which I am grateful.

I'll note that there is no longer a /pub/networking directory at that
site; the software has been moved to /pub/noc-tools/tcpview/...
Also I found that the software did not build "out of the box" for the
alpha; however, I don't believe that it will be too hard to fix it if I
get time to futz with it.
Mike had C-code which would perform a hex to printable ASCII translation
on the output of tcpdump. I appreciated his reply; however, I was looking
for something with "a little more smarts" in the decode.
