Hi all,
Today my network has basically come to a screeching halt. The only
major change to our network has been the introduction of an NT Exchange
server (yesterday) - I think we may have turned if off.
Where I'm really seeing it is from my DU boxes when they try to telnet
to my portmaster (they have to do this to run a low-tech version of a non-lan
based application). When I ping either of the portmasters that this
application is accessed from I get this:
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=66 ms
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=0 ms
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=0 ms
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=3150 ms (DUP!)
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=2147 ms (DUP!)
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=1147 ms (DUP!)
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=255 time=162 ms
64 bytes from 129.77.2.1: icmp_seq=4 ttl=255 time=0 ms
I think the (DUP!) means there may be a duplicate IP address but
I've checked the arp tables and I can't find anything. Please, if
anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate your help.
