I am using Digital Unix 4.0b on an AlphaStation 500/266.
When doing an FTP over FDDI (through a GigaSwitch to another 4.0b 500/266),
I only get 3600k/sec whereas I should be getting close to 12000k/sec.
The CPU usage reads about 12%, but both machines slow down chronically,
with windows taking up to 10 seconds to update when they are moved.
Is there any way to get full throughput on FDDI, as well as removing the
impact on the machines? There weren't any problem with the FDDI when the
AlphaStations were running VMS.
