HSZ 40 questions

Hi managers,

1) some weeks ago there was a discussion concerning the use of the
SAVE_CONFIGURATION switch during initialization of a storage unit. It was
recommended NOT to use this switch if you ever plan to change to
dual-redundant configuration, because this switch is not DEC-recommended
there.
But: Is it a good idea to init only one SPARESET with this switch? What
happens if this spareset (with SAVE_CONFIG) replaces a failed disk (without
SAVE_CONFIG) in an raidset? What do you think?

2) Does anybody uses the StorageWorks Command Console to manage HSZ40s with
Digital Unix?
I'm expecially interested in the agent's ability to send snmp-traps.
Any opinions are welcome.

Thanks
Peter
