Patch to mkfdmn

Hello,
        Has anyone applied the patch to mkfdmn that will allow it to use the -p
parameters under DEC UNIX 3.2c. This is suppose to pre allocate metadata
space. (this should eliminate the 'out of disk space' errors one gets when
one has a large amount of files.
