Hello OSF folks!
The answer to this was simple... nobody has had any success with 'osh,'
but 'sudo' compiled fine and is so easily configured that I think it does
more than osh anyway.

why not use sudo?
it allows you to specify certain commands a specified user can execute as
root, the command just becomes
sudo cancel xyz
and then sudo checks if the user is allowed to do that and asks the user
for his/her personal password
it works very well and you can also use it for your normal administration
work - my root password is now in a sealed envelope somewhere safe :)
