Thank you to all that replied!

My question was:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it possible to change the login window on a dUNIX box running
V3.2C so that it:
  1. Does *not* display the hostname
  2. Does *not* display the words "Digital Unix"
  3. *Will* display an alternate message?
------------------------------------------------------------------------

The answer is:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Assumes that you're using xdm and not CDE)
Change the following lines in /var/X11/xdm/Xresources:
dxlogin.greeting:
dxlogin.greeting2:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are other fields in this file which will affect other attributes
(like dxlogin.bitmapFile and dxlogin.bitmapMaskFile).

I also received other suggestions on changing the background and changing
the announcement message that you get when you telnet from a remote host.
