I'm installing sendmail v. 8.8.5 on a Digital Unix 3.2 pre-C box.
I want to use a new "feature" named genericstable.
To do this it seems that I need to generate .dir and .pag files.
But I don't know what program to use to create these files.
I know that "dbm" (or ndbm) has sometihng to do with this. dbm seems to be a
library.
There is no program called dbm. The sendmail docs referred to a "hash"
program but I don't know if that's what I need AND there's no hash program
on our system.
Can someone help me understand this dbm stuff?
Thanks,
Jon
