Extra Dictionaries in crack 50a

Hi,
   you may be able to help me out. I have upgraded to the
version 50a of "crack", I have looked, but I can't see how to
add extra dictionaries. I want to add Chinese and Indonesian
dictionaries to the defaults. We have a lot of SE Asian
students here.

I have tried just adding them to <instdir>/c50a/dict/1,
according to the "manual.txt" this should work.

Do the extra dicts need to be in a special format?
