Just a general question.
What utilities to people use to backup their systems?
I am using "cpio" at the moment for daily backups and use "dump" for
system backups.
I read the last file back from the tape to confirm that the files were
written OK. is it true that i CAN'T assume that if cpio finished with a
zero return code then everything is ok?
The reason i ask is that it takes 2 hours to backup 5Gb and and 1.5 to
verify it.
I suppose it would take longer to recover if the backups were not
verified! :-)
