I have found expect is not a script rather a language running
on top of tcl.

Here is a list of some places to find the stuff:

ftp://sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/linux/distributions/jurix/source/tcl/expect*
The Expect home page is: http://expect.nist.gov
The Expect FAQ is: http://expect.nist.gov/FAQ.html
You sould be able to find it on the current alpha freeware
CD-ROM from DEC.

Hi:

I have become aware of a freeware script called expect.

A DEC rep told me about this script, but he was not sure
of where to obtain it.

It is said to be able to respond to vdump's
"Press return when the next tape is online".
I would like to use this script to assist with backups.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this expect
script?

Thanks
bill hayden
