Hello all,

We are trying to instal a PCI FDDI board and configure it on an Alpha
server 8200 running Digital Unix 3.2c. The board is DEFPA-DA with two
FDDI ports and is in slot 10 in a DWLPA PCI Shelf. The slot is correct
(As per the manual it should be between 8-11). The problem is that we
are not seeing any activity on the board. The LEDs are not flashing.
They flash once when you do init in the chevron prompt and later no
activity. Is any driver to be loaded on this. With the board we received
a floppy which has files in DOS format. Is there a separate driver for
Unix?. When the system is booted with genvmunix the board with the
hardware address is identified. But there is no activity on the board
with or without the cables connected. Has anyone came across the same
situation.

Thanks for your help

Regards

Raja
