Multiple network cards

Hello!

I've got an Alpha 1000/266 with a DE-435 10MB (tu0) network card in it.
I've just received a DE-500 100MB network card. Both are PCI cards.

Before installing the DE-500, during the boot process, tu0 was configured
as 10 base T, and all worked well.

I shutdown and plugged in the DE-500 , then booted back up.
I could no longer access the net from this machine once this happened.

tu0 (the DE-435) was configured 10 base 2 during the boot.

I did not see any devices in netstat -i for the new card either. Do I
need to do a makedev on it?

We'd like to keep both cards in the machine.

thanks for any help anyone can offer!

David
