question about smtp in Unix

Hi everybody, I want to know what is the real limit of users in the
standard software a DEC AlphaServer with DEC Unix v3.2 or 4.0 has in
smtp/pop. The software that comes free with it called Internet
AlphaServer Administration Software has the same limitation? And last
but most important, if exist this limitation is there any software that
breaks this limit?
