Dear gurus,
System: DEC UNIX 3.2d
We have another server (NT 4.0) that has its own domain name and is
properly set up to function as a mail server. The NT-server is connected
to the UNIX-server via ISDN, and the line is down most of the time.
On the UNIX-server I have added the IP-address of the NT-server to the
zone-files as primary mail-server. Secondary mail-server is the DEC.
I have been told that the polling command is
"finger <NT-domain-name>_at_<UNIX-domain-name>"
but when typing that (and other combinations) gives this result:
'Connection refused.'
Question 1: Is it enough to add the NT-server as primary mail-server in
zone-files, or is there more to it to make things work properly? I know
very little of this...
Question 2: What is the correct polling command?
Question 3: Will the mail going to ..._at_<NT-domain-name> automatically be
stored on the UNIX-server until the polling takes place? Where?
Thanks in advance!
Yours,
Thomas Vådahl
