Sorry for the delay in summarizing. I have been very busy with other
things & just got back to this.

Many thanks to Randy Hayman. His assistance was invaluable. He not only
provided me with the information I needed, but placed the image file I
needed (WWENG2) on his FTP site for me to download.

Here are the steps to get the DECserver booted from DU running MOP
Standalone:

1. Install the following subsets from DECnet/OSI (no license required):

   DNADLI323 DECnet/OSI Datalink Components (DECnet/OSI Standard
Run-time Environment)
   DNAMAN323 DECnet/OSI Reference Pages (Optional DECnet/OSI
Components)
   DNAMOP323 DECnet/OSI MOP Utilities (Optional DECnet/OSI Components)
   DNANETMAN323 DECnet/OSI Network Management (DECnet/OSI Standard
Run-time Environment)

2. Run "mopsetup" selecting the "1) Configure MOP" option.

3. addnode nodename -h hard_addrs -c circuit-1 -l image-file

4. Reboot (powercycle) the terminal server

You can access the terminal server from DU using the following:

    ccr -c circuit-1 -h hard-addrs

I have not had time to pursue setting up the DECserver, but I feel that
getting it booted was half the battle. It also helps that after working at
this for a day, my manager remembered that he had the Network Access Server
manuals. It would have been nice to have these to begin with.

Also, in searching Digital's web page for DECserver information, I found a
Windows based product called Access Server Manager. This product uses
NiteRider Loader to boot the DECserver and provides Windows based server
management. Access Server Manager requires Network Access Software V1.5 to
work. The WWENG file I got from Randy Hayman was Network Access Software
V1.3.

My original question was:

>We have a DECserver 900TM that we purchased a while back that I am
>attempting to setup for use with POLYCENTER Console Manager. I am told by
>our network administrator that the DECserver had a Flash RAM card, but we
>cannot find it. I found a reference to DECserver Network Access Software
>in the DECserver 900TM Installation manual, but cannot find where it is.
I
>have also considered installing DECnet/OSI to use MOP. Which of these
>would be the easiest way to get the DECserver setup without the Flash RAM
>card, or is there something better.
>
>We are running DU 3.2C & 3.2G on our machines.
