Sybase running on 8400 with DU3.2g

I'm not a Sybase user, just the administrator for the Digital Unix.

We have three distinct sybase dataserver's running on a single
8400 with 8 CPU's and 2 GB of ram.
In the /etc/sysconfigtab our Sybase admin has included the following

ipc:
        shm-max = 1006632960

At the moment the machine has only 10% of its 3GB of swap left.

This is what the memory looks like:
Mem: act inact wired free
    165992 237496 90792 1558568

My question is, do we have Sybase setup correctly, or most efficiently?
Since I don't know anything about Sybase, I can't really question our Sybase
Administrator effectively.
