I have been experimenting with some setuid bits on certain
files. In /usr/bin/X11 the files dxpause, dxterm, xterm and
dxconsole (identical to xconsole) have root setuid bits set.
The only effect I've seen from their removal is that an
ordinary user gets a "can't open console" message at (you
guessed right) the console on login. It seems the fewer setuid
bits set in the system, the better. Is there some set of circumstances
I have missed which necessitate these?
